Fire emergency impacts Post Office in Big Arm

Due to a facility fire, the Postal Service has been forced to adjust postal operations for the Big Arm, Mont., Post Office, 28541 5th St.

The Big Arm Post Office serves 250 customers and has 100 PO Boxes. Mail delivery, retail services and PO Box distribution will be serviced out of the Elmo, Mont., Post Office, 26288 Missoula Ave. Customers may also pick up PO Box mail with valid ID at the Elmo Post Office.

No injuries were incurred. Questions about the incident should be directed to the local fire department. Updates or changes about future delivery decisions will be communicated when available.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
