Laurel woman gets lucky with scratch ticket

 

The Montana Lottery has paid out $45,346 in prizes in the last two weeks.
Samantha Ames, of Laurel, claimed a $15,000 prize on Dec. 11. She won on a Deluxe Super Hot 7’s Scratch ticket. Ames bought her ticket at Cono Mart Superstore on East First Street in Laurel .
Thomas Keith, of Helena, claimed a $30,346 prize on Dec. 12. She won playing Big Sky Bonus. The winning ticket was purchased at Van’s Thriftway on Euclid Avenue in Helena. Keith and his wife are celebrating 15 years of marriage by using their Lottery winnings to take their long overdue honeymoon. 
The Montana Lottery was created by referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $559 million in prizes and returned approximately $249 million to the State of Montana.
