Deputies give fight participant ride home from bar

The following represents a portion of the calls responded to by officers from the Laurel Police Department. Unless otherwise indicated, all cases are considered under investigation. Anyone with information about these or other crimes is encouraged to call the LPD at 628-8737.

Dec. 6
• A beer theft was reported at 3:30 p.m. from a business on the 300 block of S. 1st Ave. The suspect fled on foot. The investigation is ongoing.

Dec. 9
• A burglary was reported at Fowl Play on the 200 block of S. 1st Ave., at 7:16 a.m. The door was damaged and open. The cash drawer was also open. Items were rummaged through, although nothing was reported missing. The investigation is ongoing.
• A report of criminal mischief was called into dispatch at 11:28 a.m. Three tires on three separate vehicles were slashed on the 800 block of 7th Ave. The investigation is ongoing.

Dec. 10
• A caller reported an impaired driver at 12:01 a.m. The vehicle was located and stopped. Officers conducted field sobriety tests which showed the driver intoxicated. Amanda Moore, 42, of Laurel, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving while the privilege to do so is suspended.

Dec. 8
• At 10:22 a.m., Montana Highway Patrol requested assistance for a motor vehicle stop due the vehicle not pulling over. At 10:24 a.m. the trooper advised units to stand down and stated the driver wasn’t paying attention.
• At 11:47 p.m., Billings police advised of a felony partner or family member assault subject possibly heading to the Park City area as both individuals involved live there. The victim reported the suspect might return to the residence and was highly intoxicated and driving a white pickup. At 1:29 a.m. a female called and stated the suspect was at her home and requested a response as her children were there. At 2:17 a.m. the Billings police reported they did not want the individual arrested by the sheriff’s office. At 2:18 a.m. the female called back and stated the male was at her residence and requested a response. At 2:43 a.m. a deputy reported the male and all parties had left the residence for the evening.

Dec. 9
• At 10:18 a.m., a Park City caller advised that their neighbor’s dog had been barking all morning and would like a deputy to speak with the owners. At 2:06 p.m. the reporting party called back and stated the dog was still barking. At 3:08 p.m. contact was made with the owner of the dog who admitted the dog was hers. She stated her dog has a bark collar and seldom barks, but there are other dogs in the neighborhood that bark. She was advised of the neighbors complaint.
• At 12:30 p.m., a caller advised that her father had called her and stated he was involved in a fender bender at the Park City Solid Waste site and the driver of the other vehicle was getting “hostile.” A deputy responded to keep the peace until MHP arrived. At 12:42 p.m. MHP advised it was not two vehicles that hit. The site attendant said to the father that he hit him with the truck. MHP advised that the father was leaving the site. At 1:12 p.m. a deputy advised that the site attendant was not injured and did not want to file charges. At 3:48 p.m. a deputy advised there is some concern that the suspect, who was not identified, acted in a malicious way that could have caused serious injury.
• At 6:30 p.m., a caller on Cottonwood Ave. reported a male with diabetic issues who had been unable to take his shots and was confused and disoriented. At 6:47 p.m. no ambulance was available.
• At 8:43 p.m., a caller reported a disturbance at a bar in Park City. At 8:46 p.m. a deputy requested cover and MHP and another deputy were en route. At 8:53 a deputy reported a verbal altercation and both parties were separated. At 8:57 p.m. a female involved in the altercation was given a ride home.
• At 9:20 p.m., a deputy reported a vehicle in the median due to a collision with a deer on Yegen Hill at mile marker 420 on Interstate 90. At 9:32 p.m. Hanser’s was 20 minutes out. At 10:02 p.m. a deputy cancelled the tow and stated the driver had someone coming to get the vehicle.
• At 10:15 p.m., a caller reported loud music in Park City. At 10:32 p.m. a deputy spoke with the father of the involved party who stated he would handle the situation.

Dec. 10
• At 1:56 a.m., a 911 caller from Park City reported a possible overdose. The caller said they found an empty bottle of Lorazepam and NyQuil lying next to a female. At 2 a.m. the caller stated the female was unresponsive but breathing. At 2:20 a.m. the reporting party called back and stated the patient had quit breathing for approximately 30 seconds but began breathing again.
