Laurel wins one, loses two at divisional tournament

Laurel was eliminated from the Eastern A Divisional tournament in Lewistown on Thursday evening, falling to Sidney in five games.

After defeating Havre in five games in the first match of the tournament, Laurel fell to Billings Central 7-25, 9-25, 19-25. 

In the second game, setter Sophia Timm was injured during a collision with her teammate Riley Chapman and didn’t return for the rest of the tournament. 

In the 5:30 p.m. elimination game against Sidney, the Locos won the first and fourth games 27-25 and 29-27, but fell 11-15 in the tie breaker
