Bobbie Lou (Heckenlively) Olson

Bobbie Lou (Heckenlively) Olson , 96, of Laurel, passed away at her home with her son, Danny, by her side. Bobbie was born on Oct. 3, 1921 in Denver, Colorado on her mother Reva's birthday. She was the eldest of three children and lived in numerous locations including Hardin, Sheridan, Butte and Livingston. She had many fond memories of time spent in Pony riding horses with her cousin Byron. Bobbie was a proud member of the Crow Indian Tribe and shared many stories of her Shane heritage. She loved to travel and was a stewardess for Western Airlines before marrying Roy Olson in 1947 in Livingston. Together they raised three sons who were the love of their lives. Bobbie loved her flower gardens, her rides in the country looking for birds and wildlife, playing golf and bridge with her friends and spending time with all her relatives.
Bobbie is survived by her sons Gary (Nancy) and Howard (Susan) all of Livingston, and Danny (Terry) of Laurel; grandchildren Angela (John) Beldy of Lakewood, Colorado, Shane Olson of Livingston, Brett (Shawna) Olson of Elko, Nevada and Jake Olson of Corvallis. Her great-grandchildren are Haley Olson, Jackson Beldy and Chloe Olson, plus she had numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents Howard and Reva Heckenlively, her brother George Heckenlively, her sister Darlene Terwilliger and her niece Merry Dawn Markegard. Bobbie was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank Riverstone Hospice for the excellent care Bobbie received. A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
