The J-Hawks (8-1) earned the #3 seed in the Southern C Division and travel to Charlo (8-1) on Saturday to face the Vikings in the first round of the 8-man football playoffs.

Joliet is on to the playoffs after an excellent season that saw the J-Hawks beat the top team in the conference and only lose one game. Their regular season ended with a blowout victory against the Gardiner last Wednesday and they now head west for their first postseason game.
Coach George Warburton said the J-Hawks played solid on both sides of the ball during their 52-8 victory against the Bruins, and the coaches and players impressed him all fall.
“I’m really proud of our players and coaching staff, I could not have asked for a better finish to the regular season,” he said.
Senior Brett Robinson had a monster game on both sides of the ball, accounting for four offensive touchdowns and two defensive scores. He had 17 carries for 102 yards with TD runs of 6, 1 and 5 yards, and had one pass reception for 70 yards and a score. On defense, he had 72 and 20-yard fumble recovery returns for TDs, while accounting for 3 1/2 tackles.
Justin Harris had seven carries for 60 yards and a 2-yard TD run on offense, and 6 1/2 tackles on defense. Trey Olson had four carries for 33 yards. Taylor Rowlison was 4-of-6 passing for 120 yards with one TD and one interception. Rylan Olson had two catches for 38 yards and Caleb Bailey had one catch for 12 yards.
Caiden Kirby had eight tackles and 1/2 sack and one caused fumble, and Grant O’Rourke added 4 1/2 tackles and 1/2 sack.
The J-Hawks (8-1) grabbed the #3 seed in the Southern C conference and now travel north of Missoula to Charlo (8-1) for the opening round playoff game on Saturday.
Warburton said, “We are preparing to play our best game of the season. We are going to make our presence known in the postseason.”
With a victory, Joliet would either travel to Forsyth or host Choteau on Nov. 4.
Kickoff in Charlo is 1 p.m. on Saturday.
