Gary Colley

Gary Colley

Gary Colley, 69, passed away October 23, 2017 at Billings Clinic with his family at his side.
This is what Gary wanted us to do about his life.
I was born to Emmett and Eileen Colley on December 30, 1947 at Park County Hospital in Livingston, Montana. Dad always said "what a tax deduction".
I started my early life at Emigrant Fish Hatchery and then moved on to the Great Falls, Lewistown and Bluewater Fish Hatcheries. I attended school in Bridger and graduated in 1966. I joined the Air Force in 1967. I served 18 months in Viet Nam and finished my four-year tour at Scott AFB in Illinois.
After departing the military, I met the love of my life, Susan Spencer. We married in June 1972 and spent 45 wonderful years together.
I worked at Spencer Farms, 22 years for Conoco, Inc. in Billings and 13 years for the City of Laurel. I retired in 2015.
I also spent 32 years in the Volunteer Fire Service in Bridger and Laurel.
I am survived by my wife Susan, sister Marlene (John) Peters, brother Jim (Donna) Colley, nieces and nephews Josh and Jason Peters, John (Heather) Colley, Kristen (Jim) Wedel, Shawn Colley and Mistie (Jamal) Tyler, Christal (Chris) Hickson, Heather (Justin) Foos, Kellie (Jeff) Krenning, Chad (Josie) Spencer, Clint Spencer and Chawna (Jason) Wiechmann and special family friend Wendie (Kevin) Fredrickson.
I was preceded in death by my loving parents Emmett and Eileen Colley and grandparents Joshua and Claudia Colley and Lee and Ruby Jordan.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 30th at 12 noon at the Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel.
Memorials in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice.
