John Anthony Yonkaitis

March 28, 1933—September, 24, 2017

John Anthony Yonkaitis passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Arlington Oregon. He was born in Thurlow, Montana to Anthony (Tony) and Eva Yonkaitis.
John was an avid gardener and landscaper. He loved the outdoors. John left his mark building homes in and around the Billings, Montana area.
Most loved and devoted husband and father he was extremely proud of his family and their accomplishments.
John is survived by his wife Evelyn (Gasaway) Yonkaitis of 62 years, daughters Dorie (Gerald) Robertus, Carol (Rod) Hedges, son Mark (Sheri) Yonkaitis and daughter-in-law Kathy Yonkaitis. He was preceded in death by his son Tony Yonkaitis November 8, 2016.
John is survived by his much loved seven grandchildren and spouses and 12 great-grandchildren. He always said “he did good.”
Surviving siblings are sister Vickie Yonkaitis Benner of Snowflake, Arizona, Walter Quinlan of Miles City, Montana; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by five siblings Eddie Yonkaitis, Julie Hall, James Quinlan, Tom Quinlan and Angie Staley.
