Park City, Joliet and Laurel volleyball roundup

Park City

Park City got a home victory against Fromberg on Sept. 21, defeating the Falcons in three games 25-7, 25-12 and 25-19.

Adee Baker had half of the Panther’s aces with six, and accounted for two of the team’s five blocks. Blakely Verke had four of the teams digs and 19 of 21 assists. Park City had 24 kills with Brittany Frank leading the team with seven.

On Saturday Park City lost to Reed Point/Rapelje in four games; 25-22, 15-25, 21-25, 21-25.

Frank led in kills with nine, Alex Grabowska and Verke had two blocks each, Megan Flemmer and Verke had three aces and Verke added 20 digs and 20 assists.

The Lady Panthers travel to Absarokee today and host Bridger on Saturday.



The J-Hawk volleyball team achieved their goal last Thursday, defeating Red Lodge in three games; 25-18, 25-21, 25-12.

Joliet Coach Colette Webber said, “The girls came out with a goal and reached it [against] Red Lodge. They continue to impress me with their team unity and aggressiveness.”

“This is a well-rounded team and everyone contributes in huge ways,” Webber said.

The J-Hawks are on the road for their next three matches, playing Huntley today, Big Timber Saturday, and Columbus on Tuesday.



Laurel had a 10-day break after falling to Lewistown in three games on Sept. 16; 8-25, 18-25 and 15-25.

Keeli Harris had six kills and Saige Weimer added five. Sophia Timm had 13 of 14 team assists. Jessica LeFevre, Harris, and Trynadee Goldsberry each had an ace. Weimer had nine digs and LeFevre had eight. Riley Chapman had 1 1/2 of the teams five blocks.

On Tuesday, Livingston bested the Lady Locos in three games; 23-25, 19-25, 18-25.

Saige Weimer led the team in kills with seven out of 13. Sophia Timm had 11 of the teams 12 assists. Taryn Womack led with two aces. Jessica LeFevre had 11 of 43 team digs. Riley Chapman and Saige Weimer each had two blocks.

The Locos travel to Glendive tomorrow and then Sidney on Saturday. On Tuesday they host Billings Central at 7 p.m.
