Workshops seek input on river recreation projects

The Yellowstone River Oil Spill Recreation Project Advisory Committee and the Montana Department of Justice Natural Resource Damage Program are seeking citizen input at a Project Workshop to learn more about the ongoing request for recreation project ideas to help compensate the public for recreational losses due to the July 2011 Yellowstone River oil spill. The purpose of the workshops is to provide potential applicants with more information about the application process and to discuss project ideas.
Workshops will be held on Wednesday, August 9, from 1 1 p.m. or Tuesday, August 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. at the Billings Southside Community Center at 901 S. 30th St.
NRDP will start the workshops with a presentation about the funding opportunity and go through the abstract application.
Contact Alicia Stickney at 406-444-0205 or for more information. Applications and instructions are available at: or by contacting NRDP.
