Trailing most of the game the J-Hawks were able to demonstrate their poise and discipline by staging a comeback that sent their game last week against Huntley Project into overtime. In the exciting extra period they pulled away 74-69.
Taylor Rowlison had one hell of a game with 27-points, including clutch free throws and going on an individual scoring tear in the extra period. He did it all. Teammates Ty Olson had 20 and Matt George 13 for the night in the narrow win, the J-Hawks seventh in row.

In just the second time all season the J-Hawks lost, 55-43 to Lodge Grass and fell to 10-2 on the season.
After an amazing overtime thriller the night before, the J-Hawks didn’t have enough juice to win another game against a good team on the road.
Star Taylor Rowlison only had two points for the entire game after dropping almost 30 the night before and his teammates didn’t fare much better.
As a team they barely managed to reach just four points in the first quarter.
“We did not shoot well at all,” said coach John Nelson.
“We trailed the entire game,” he said. “I was really proud of our defense and the way the boys kept their composure.”
Easily after having such an amazing start to the season Joliet could have lost big. They didn’t. They kept playing and kept playing hard to at least succumb to a respectable loss.
The seven game win streak is over and now the boys can come back down to reality. Sometimes a good team needs a loss to put things in perspective. The next few weeks will be telling on the maturity of these kids and how they respond.
They play back in Joliet tonight, against Columbus, at home, 7:30 p.m.
