Snow blocks driveways, hampers travel

On Dec. 19, at 4:03 a.m., near Cemetery Rd. a resident who delivers The Gazette with his mom got stuck in a snow drift. They decided against a tow-truck and called their employers.
On Dec. 19, at 7:04 p.m., on the 100 block of Second Ave. a baby was very lethargic and had a possible herniated umbilical cord. The ambulance was paged and an EMT with Park City headed over to check on the baby until the ambulance arrived.
On Dec. 20, at 4:23 p.m., a complainant on Sweetclover Rd. reported to police that neighbors were trespassing on private road while plowing to open up driveways for people who had been stuck in their houses from snow.
On Dec. 21, at 8:17 a.m., on First Ave. a resident reported his 2006 silver Chevy 2500 had tires slashed. The complainants are new to the area and no person of interest has been reported.
On Dec. 22, at 8:23 a.m., at the Laurel Medical Center on Third Ave. a request to transport a patient to St. Vincent’s Healthcare was issued by Laurel Dispatch. Columbus transported the patient.
On Dec. 22, at 12:53 p.m., at the Spruce Apartments on Ninth Ave. a ambulance was paged for a 53-year-old male who had fallen and broke his ankle and needed medical attention. The request was cancelled.
On Dec. 23, at 4:30 p.m., at mile marker 429 west bound on I-90, a driver reported that a white ford F250 with plates from Colo. was passing him and slowing down to throw bolts and rocks out of a window at the driver. Another driver in a separate vehicle also witnessed the incident and both signed complaints. The vehicle was eventually pulled over and given a citation/warning.
On Dec. 25, at 3:08 p.m., on I-90 westbound from mm 400 to the county line and beyond DOT crews were out and keeping the roads clear.
