Merry Christmas is what you make of it

From the Publisher

Merry Christmas!
It is a simple thought that manifests itself in many ways.
Nothing compares to this time of year for almost everyone.
For kids, a lifetime of memories are formed while parents and grandparents do their best to keep family traditions alive.
Dec. 25 is only a day on a calendar with 364 days just like it and Christmas is truly what you want to make of it.
I hope this Christmas fills you with memories from the many Christmases you have had leading up to this one.
My memories before I got married and had children involved driving from Forsyth to Great Falls to spend Christmas with my favorite cousins. Once I got married and our children showed up we made and continue to make memories that I hope they will share in the future.
Midnight masses, the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen, the joyous noise coming from having way too many people at one time in one house. Those are a few thoughts that go through my head as Christmas nears.
Christmas is a time for me to catch my breath and catch up with those most important to me – my family. A friend once told me that raising kids is long in hours but short in years – I think of family Christmases the same way.
Our Christmas wish for you is to enjoy the spirit of Christmas in whatever way means the most to you. If you are healthy, celebrate that you are healthy enough to celebrate Christmas. If you are with family, cherish those around you now.
