Yellowjackets host campus orientation

Montana State University Billings is ready to welcome new students. Orientation Peer Leaders, faculty, and staff are ready to welcome the new group of Yellowjackets for both university campus and City College. As an institution, staff worked together to develop an orientation program that provides students with an engaging experience.
The three components to our first-year student orientation program here at MSU Billings include:
1. The Virtual Hive which is a program that students complete online in Desire2Learn prior to the overnight orientation. Students will learn about services and programs on campus, and, start to connect with other students.
2. The On-Campus Orientation program is a two-day, overnight orientation on campus.  This is an engaging orientation experience where students meet face-to-face with students, faculty, and staff.  Students will register for fall courses during this portion of orientation.
3. The Virtual Hive Post-Orientation is a continuation of the orientation program online in D2L.  Students will learn additional information needed to get ready to start college in the fall and to help set them up for a successful transition into college.
The On-Campus Overnight Orientation dates are June 22 and 23, July 13 and 14, and August 3 and 4.
We are excited to welcome new Yellowjackets to campus.
There is still time to get signed up to get started. If you have questions contact the New Student Services office at 657-2880.
