Warren H. Slater

Warren H. Slater, 98, Chula Vista, California, died peacefully May 13, 2019, at home.

Warren was born in Musselshell County, Montana and graduated from Laurel High School and then went in the US Navy where he served as a radioman and enjoyed a career of 35 years. He retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He also had a career at a Navy rebuild facility at NAS North Island where he retired after 20 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Methodist Church in Chula Vista. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.

Warren was preceded in death by his wives Lois and Dorothy, and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by one sister, Veda Slater Fay of Anchorage, Alaska and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral service in Chula Vista, California, and a military service and internment at the Yellowstone Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Laurel, Montana. A memorial service is being planned for later this summer in Laurel.

Warren was a great guy who was loved by all that met him.
