Vote no on bond

The more we hear about the school bond issue on the ballot Nov. 7th, the more alarmed we become. My husband and I own a home one-half block from South School on Forrest Avenue and we’ve been here 11 years. There is already a serious traffic problem over here before and after school. As there is no parking provided to drop off kids, parents are forced to park and walk their kids to school and are often carrying another child or pushing a stroller in all kinds of weather. What a hardship!
Streets over here harken back to horse and buggy days. Too narrow for two-way traffic, school buses in the mix. The senior center is two blocks away across the street from a senior apartment complex. The refinery crews add to the traffic. So where is “extra room for green space enabling agricultural programs,” mention in the Gazette? High School Career Center? We already had the unpleasant experience of living near the high school and they all drive and need to park. Picking up litter and vandalism occurred a lot.
Raise our taxes on top of compounding our living situation with traffic, etc? NO THANKS.
