Unattended death

Yesterday morning the Laurel Police Department announced there was no status change to report on an unattended death on the 600 block of 5th Avenue. Laurel Police Chief Stan Langve told the Outlook that they are nearing the end of their investigation and are waiting on toxicology reports from the County Coroner. A case is deemed an unattended death is when a body is discovered outside of supervision or a doctor’s care. “There is no evidence to suggest a threat to the public at this time,” Langve said.
