Televised debate Oct. 1 featuring candidates for Montana’s U.S. House seat

A televised debate featuring three of the four candidates running for Montana’s U.S. House District 2 is scheduled for Oct. 1 in Great Falls. The newly formed district covers Central and Eastern Montana.

Independent Gary Buchanan, Democrat Penny Ronning of Billings will get their first shot at publicly facing incumbent Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT). Libertarian Sam Rankin, also of Billings, will not be part of the debate.

The candidates are all vying for the House of Representatives seat in the Nov. 8 General Election.

Rosendale is serving his first two-year term in the House of Representatives.

The debate, to be carried on the state-wide MTN NEWS network will be televised from Great Falls on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 6 pm.
