West School students are seen with with their certificate of achievement after a day of learning with Chad Wheeler, Erika Frisby and Reed Sutton. In January, all K-2 students learned about plagiarism, that ideas have owners, giving credit to the owner and designing an original work in library.  Kindergarteners learned about Legos.  First graders learned about Coca-Cola and second graders learned about Braille.  In first grade students created original Coca-Cola artwork designed modeled after the “Six Keys of Popularity” contest where one person won $10,000 in 1927.  Local Coca-Cola bottling manager Reed Sutton judged the artwork.  In February Reed came to West to deliver first, second and third place certificates to all eight classrooms.  All first graders earned a Coca-Cola pencil.
