Sights of the season

Silent night. Outlook photo by Evan Bruce. This simple display on the 1200 block of 5th Ave. is charming and has an old-fashioned appeal. There are many light displays both elaborate and simple throughout Laurel. See the Outlook’s Facebook site for a list.
Moose is surprise visitor. Outlook photo by David Keyes. This moose spent last week meandering through the parts of Laurel. This photo was taken in Dr. VanNice’s backyard during a morning last week. Dr. VanNice said his visitor stayed in the backyard all morning and was later seen near the Catholic Church. Law enforcement kept an eye out for the moose and warned people to steer clear of the unpredictable animal. Just as fast as it appeared, the moose disappeared.
