Rotary 2017 calendar gift will last all year

The Laurel Rotary Club has come up with a local gift that promises to be valuable all year long.
The Laurel Rotary 2017 calendars have arrived and the full-color, wall-sized calendar is chock-full of local photos, events and advertising. A person will also find birthdays, anniversaries and other important Laurel dates.
Best of all, all of the proceeds go to the Laurel Rotary Club to fund local activities. This year, the club has chosen Head Start as the recipient from calendar sales.
The limited edition calendar is available at the Laurel Outlook, Western Security Bank, Ace Hardware and Orchid Cleaners. The cost is $20.
Rotary had asked local photographers to submit photos for the calendars and more than 60 photos were submitted from 20 people.
Kristy Miller, Misty Miller and others have photos that show everything from old homesteads, to sunflowers, porcupines, river scenes and Sandhill cranes.
There are also Laurel and Montana trivia questions throughout the calendar and Rotary and the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department teamed up to provide numerous fire safety tips in the calendar as well.
Produced on heavy duty paper, the calendar is designed to be used and written on.
Laurel Rotary members would be happy to sell you a calendar or two.

Speaking of gift ideas...What seemed like an endless supply of Laurel High School Yearsbooks is almost at an end.
The limited-edition book features photos of more than 6,000 LHS graduates spanning from the Classes of 1905 through 2016.
The books are on sale at the Laurel Outlook as well as Ricci’s and the Beartooth Grill.
The book won’t be reprinted when it sells out.
It has been heartening to see how many people have enjoyed the book and the positive responses have been overwhelming.
There you have it. Two local gifts that were produced locally and shine a positive light back on Laurel. What could be better than that?
