Ron and Vicky (Armstrong) Stricker celebrated 50 years of marriage last fall. The couple was married November 29th, 1969 at Saint Anthony’s Parish in Laurel, Montana after Ron returned from Marine Corps training and Vicky graduated high school. They began married life farming and ranching on Cow Creek between Joliet and Columbus with Ron’s parents, Ferdinand and Betty. During this time they welcomed four children, Ronald (Marc), Brandon, Jarret, and Monica. Ron, Vicky and the kids eventually relocated to Spring Hill Farms south of Hardin, Montana. There the family resided for nearly a decade farming and ranching. They also welcomed the birth of their youngest child, Heather, while living there. After the graduations of the their oldest two children, they decided to return “home” to Laurel and undertook the adventure of creating White Horse Estates, building a shop, barn, and home with the help of their children and Vicky’s dad, Lou Armstrong. Ron began work with the Stillwater Mine in 1989, eventually moving to the smelter; he remained with the company for nearly three decades. Vicky found her niche in Real Estate, becoming a successful Broker. Vicky still owns and operates Homeward Bound Real Estate. Ron and Vicky have remained in their beloved home since 1992, growing hay, raising horses, a garden, irises, and welcoming several grandchildren. They are Marc (Molly) and children, Ryann, Madison, Brandon and son Dylan; Jarret (Athena) and baby girl arriving in July; Monica and son Myles; and Heather (Luke) and children Connor, Evelyn, and Rhett. The last fifty years have been filled with countless memories and adventures. Here’s to many more to come!

A celebration of marriage was held at The Elks Club in Billings on November 30th, 2019. The family enjoyed a beautiful cake, food, drinks, and a live band with many close friends and family. A good time was had by all!
