Robert Dean Barnard

Robert Dean Barnard
On February 17, 2020, Robert Dean Barnard’s body relaxed and his spirit soared. Robert was 79 years old, born and raised in Montana. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Penny, daughter, Laurie (Tom), loved ones, Melody (Kevin), siblings, Jim (Judy), Flossie and Alice (Vern), and their families. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran. For 23 years, his chosen career was driving truck, hauling new cars. During his 22 years of retirement, he enjoyed snowbird life spending winters in Arizona where he explored desert trails on ATVs with Penny and friends. His summers were spent in Montana exploring the Pryor Mountains. Robert worked hard, played hard and kept his family and friends laughing with his fun-loving heckling, and telling of tall tales with a straight face. He was in good health until recently and passed following a stroke. Robert will be forever missed and loved. An interment will be held at Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel, Montana, this summer.
