Rededication of Freedom Shrine

aWith American flags in hand, Laurel Middle School students let out an enthusiastic cheer just prior to the Laurel Exchange Club’s ceremony on Monday afternoon to rededicate the school’s Freedom Shrine. Explaining the significance of the documents (which stand in the hallway outside the office) and encouraging the students to check them out were Ken Gomer, president of Laurel’s Exchange Club and Bill Kennedy, former Yellowstone County Commissioner.
Singing the National Anthem at the Freedom Shrine rededication at the Laurel Middle School on Monday were a trio of students from the high school, including Austin Amestoy. Taking up the rear was the American Legion Post #123’s Color Guard and members of the Laurel Exchange Club.
