Letters to the editor

Thank you local businesses
I would like to give a special thanks to Laurel Ace Hardware and Home Depot for donating paint to spruce up all the pieces in the Nativity scene.
Have a blessed Christmas.

Thank you for clearing
Laurel streets
I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to the Laurel city employees that worked so long and hard to get our streets plowed. There was an incredible amount of snow in a short amount of time and you all did a great job plowing. You are all AWESOME!

Lots to be thankful
for in Laurel
I want to thank all drivers who were involved in snow removal this past week. I was able to drive the farm lanes on Seitz Ronan thanks to some plows that were out in the middle of the night.
Also, I would like to thank Chris of Quality Auto Repair for his kindness and professionalism. While I am at it, I really appreciate the good customer service at IGA, GVS Pharmacy, Heidi’s Coffee Cabin, Palace Lanes, Dragon Palace, UPS, McDonalds, the Post Office, Dynamic Design, Vinnie’s, Taco Johns, the Public Library, Outlook, Tractor Supply, Rapid Tire, Walmart, Park City Truck Stop and Quick Stop. Add to those: Thomae Lumber, Yogurt Shop, City Brew, Taco Bell, Golf Course, the Chevy Dealer, MasterLube, Exxon and Cenex on First Ave., and Bill the bike mechanic, and Kamala at the Owl.

2017 Legislative Session
It is time. The beginning of the 2017 Legislative Session is fast upon us. I would like to begin by thanking everyone for their support in the 2016 election. I am blessed to live Laurel and want to work to make it and Montana a better place.
We undoubtedly will be faced with difficult decisions as the state faces a revenue shortfall and important social issues. I am going to Helena to represent you and welcome your comments and ideas. This being my second session I have built relationships with fellow lawmakers and will have some experience to guide my decisions. The best way to reach me is by email Rep.Vince.Ricci@mt.gov I will do my best to answer everyone that contacts me. Please, if we are going to have a serious discussion let’s keep our remarks civil, I won’t answer correspondence that is rude or demeaning. I look forward to hearing from you.
Again I am looking forward to serving in the Montana House and I will do my best to represent you the people. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.

From the mouths of babes
Our daughter Cindy, son-in-law Josh and 6-year-old grandson Kellen recently moved to New Mexico.
Cindy shared their morning breakfast conversation.
Cindy: “Josh did you see that Trump is appointing someone from  Montana for his cabinet?”
Kellen: “Mom do you think it might be Nan or Pop?”
Kellen: “Mom, and how big is his cabinet and would they just have to sit in there”?
Valid Questions!
