Later he drove away in a black Chevy Cruz with the car seat and baby blankets. At 3:44 p.m., the suspect called dispatch stating that the RP had hit the child in the face and wouldn’t let him take the child. Dispatch contacted authorities in the man’s last place of residence and discovered he had a restraining order against him. Deputies arrested Michael Baccaro and transported him to the Yellowstone County Detention Facility. The RP called to get information on retrieving her vehicle and contacting a victim advocate.
• On April 26, at 7:03 p.m., a caller told dispatch that a woman on S. Clark St. was screaming obscenities at her children who were upset and crying. The RP said she was tired of the abuse from the screaming neighbor. A deputy spoke to both parties. The RP said that the kids were outside riding bikes on the sidewalk when the other woman began her tirade. She called the RP a “bitch.” The other woman admitted to yelling at the children. She claimed no one was watching them and they were playing in traffic. She also said the children have gotten into her yard and done damage. The deputy saw no damage. Deputies informed the woman that yelling, swearing and using threatening language was not how she should handle the situation and that she could be charged with disorderly conduct for her behavior. She was told not to have anything to do with the neighbors and that if she saw children playing in the street to call the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies told the RP to keep kids away from neighbor’s yard, build a fence if possible and look into getting a no contact order.
