Police Report - 5/11/17

Bike thief, aggressive pit bull roam Park City area

There is no Laurel Police Department report this week because of scheduling conflicts.

 

• On May 1, at 6:03 a.m., a complainant reported hitting a deer. The driver was not hurt, but the deer was still in the road. The driver parked in the east bound rest area at mile marker 419 on Interstate 90. Because of the amount of damage to the vehicle Montana Highway Patrol was notified in order for the driver to make an insurance claim.

• On May 1, at 7:32 a.m., a deputy issued a citation to Andrew Russell Keith of Billings for speeding.

• On May 1, at 1:24 p.m.,  deputies were dispatched to a 12-month-old child who was choking. A fire command unit also responded. The baby had stopped choking and was breathing but red in the face.

• On May 1, at 7:43 p.m., a deputy checked on a vehicle with its hood up. Lisa Marie Williams of Seattle was cited for driving while the privilege to do so has been suspended.

• On May 2, at 12:07 a.m., a theft in progress was reported on the 100 block of 3rd SW St. in Park City. A resident was outside when he saw a young man steal his bike. The complainant chased the man about four blocks until the man dropped the bike. The suspect is described as approximately 17 years old, wearing dark clothes and a hat.

• On May 2, at 6:35 a.m. a resident on 1st St. SW reported a car that had possibly been abandoned. A deputy checking on it noticed the stereo was missing . The vehicle was marked as abandoned. At a later time, the deputy saw the vehicle was moved to Schreiner Rd.

• On May 2, at 6:47 p.m., a complainant on 1st St. SW reported the theft of a bike that had been leaning against the house. The bike, valued at $100, is a 20-inch black Mongoose (written in white lettering.) It had new tires and had black grips with red ends. There are pegs on the font and back. There are no suspects.

• On May 3, at 8:55 p.m., a pit bull got into a field on Pryor View Circle and injured some horses. The dog’s owner arrived and agreed to pay all costs for vet care. The owner had just adopted the dog and would be returning it.

• On May 5, at 4:37 p.m., dispatch received a call for an ambulance on Schreiner Rd. A middle-aged male had collapsed outside. He was conscious but disoriented. Park City was unable to respond so Columbus was paged and was responding. In the meantime emergency personnel arrived in a personal vehicle.

• On May 5, at 8:01 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in progress on Fox Trail. A deputy was dispatched to a home where a landlord was yelling at a new tenant and trying to kick her out.

• On May 5, at 10:54 p.m., Park City ambulance was dispatched to Roundhouse Dr. in Laurel for an elderly male who needed transport to the hospital.

• On May 6, at 11:26 11:26 p.m., a deputy initiated a motor vehicle on I-90 at mm 427. Amber Rose Davis, of Plummer, Idaho was cited for speeding.

• On May 6, at 8:13 p.m. deputies responded to a disturbance in progress at Sportsman’s Park. The reporting party stated that she and her husband got into an argument with some people there. The other people tried to assault her husband with brass knuckles. Montana Highway Patrol, Laurel and Billings communication centers were notified. The caller stated the subjects had left the scene driving erratically. 

• On May  6, at 10:31 p.m., a deputy initiated a motor vehicle stop on Highway 10. Darren Scott Harrington of Columbus was cited for speeding, failure to carry driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance.

• On May 6, at 11:28 p.m., a deputy initiated a motor vehicle stop on Sweet Clover and Cemetery Rd. Vincent Francis Bianco of Billings was cited for no insurance.

• On May 7, at 3:32 a.m. Park City Ambulance was requested by Laurel dispatch for a male on 3rd Ave. with DVT. He was transported to a Billings’ hospital.
