Police report

Laurel
The following represent a portion of the calls responded to by officers from the Laurel Police Department. Unless otherwise indicated, all cases are considered under investigation. Anyone with information about these or other crimes is encouraged to call the LPD at 628-8737.
• On Feb. 13, at 8:58 a.m., officers were dispatched to Laurel Ford for a theft. An employee from a construction company had left a vehicle in the lot. A thief broke a side window from the truck and took tools and miscellaneous equipment valued at $3,550. There are no suspects and an investigation is on-going.
• On Feb. 15, at 3:35 p.m., a theft was reported from the 600 block of E. 5th. A washer and dryer were reportedly stolen.
• On Feb. 16, at 8:09 a.m., a man with a city warrant on a juvenile charge was served at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.
• On Feb. 17, at 9:17 a.m., a fight was reported that had occurred at Sid’s. Jacob Cunningham, 26, of Laurel was charged and cited with assault. Ryan Kober, 26, of Billings was charged and cited with assault and disorderly conduct.
• On Feb. 18, at 12:19 a.m., dispatch received a report of a disturbance in progress on the 900 block of 12th Ave. Michael Pine, 36, of Laurel was arrested for partner family member assault and transported to YCDF.
• On Feb. 19, at 5:47 p.m. John Lecheler, 46, of Billings was served a Laurel city warrant at YCDF.
• On Feb. 19, at 8:22 p.m., a theft was reported at Lucky Lil’s Casino on the 300 block of S. 1st Ave. While a cashier was making change a thief stole $600. An investigation is on-going.
• On Feb. 20, at 11:11 p.m. a theft was reported at Walmart. While shopping the rear license plate off a vehicle was stolen. The thief was possibly driving a dark-colored Jeep. An investigation is on-going.
• On Feb. 22, at 8:25 a.m., Kacie Ormsby, 38, of Billings was served two Laurel city warrants at YCDF.
• On Feb. 22, at 11:04 a.m., a Laurel city warrant was served on David Roundy at his Laurel residence. He was transported to YCDF.
• On Feb. 26, at 6:14 p.m., a theft was reported at Walmart. A shoplifter took a cart of groceries without paying. A customer who witnessed the theft took photos of the get-away vehicle and its license plate. An investigation is on-going and an charges are expected to be filed.

Stillwater County
• On Feb. 24 at 6:21 a.m., dispatch received a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 90, near mile marker 427. Park City ambulance responded as did a deputy. The driver didn’t need treatment and a wrecker was contacted to remove the vehicle.
• On Feb. 24, at 1:54 p.m. a caller reported a vehicle parked at the rest area with a purse on top of it. Nobody was around and the vehicle had been there over 20 minutes. A deputy determined the identity of owner of the vehicle and Verizon located the owner’s phone at the Park City Town Pump. At 3:18 p.m., an employee at Town Pump called dispatch and reported a woman behind their shed. She had been there for several hours. She didn’t want to speak to anyone. A deputy went to the location and contacted the woman’s husband. Because there was issues between the couple and the woman was inebriated, the husband waited in his vehicle to make sure she stayed put until their son could come and pick her up.
• On Feb. 24, at 4:28 p.m., deputies initiated two alcohol compliance checks.
• On Feb. 24, at 7:57 p.m., a complainant form the Park City Zip Trip reported a young black and tan hound dog loose. The reporting party had managed to get the dog in the entry way after it was found wandering around. The dog had a shock collar but no tags. Dispatch advised the RP to release the dog since there is no animal control in the county.
• On Feb. 25, at 6:55 p.m., a deputy initiated at motor vehicle stop on Hwy 10 near the Zip Trip. The Laurel resident driving the vehicle was issued a warning for having a non-operating license plate lamp.
• On Feb. 25, at 7:32 p.m., Stillwater dispatch received a call regarding a male who had fallen in Molt. He needed assistance getting up. Molt was paged twice. Billings dispatched was advised that Molt didn’t respond.
• On Feb. 26, at 12:17 a.m., a Park City resident reported a man walking through yards acting suspiciously. Deputies were unable to locate the man.
• On Feb. 26, at 1:34 a.m., deputies initiated a motor vehicle stop. An MIP was issued to a Laurel resident.
• On Feb. 26, at 8:59 a.m., deputies checked on a vehicle on the side of the road with two men in it. They ran out of gas. The sister of one of the men was coming from Laurel with gas. After the sister arrived, the deputy departed.
• On Feb. 26, at 12:16 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious car on North Frontage Rd. The RP advised that he thought a male was living in the car. A deputy was unable to locate the car.
• On Feb. 26, at 2:22 p.m., a deputy reported debris on I-90 at mm 429. The deputy cleared the hazard from the road.
• On Feb. 26, at 2:44 p.m., a deputy checked on a disabled vehicle at the Allen Creek Underpass. The occupants needed a tow. Dispatched was advised and contacted a tow company.
• On Feb. 26, at 7:43 p.m., a deputy initiated a motor vehicle stop south of the railroad tracks. The Laurel resident who was the operator of the vehicle was issued citation for driving while suspended and driving with expired tags.
• On Feb. 27, at 2:56 a.m., a deputy checked on a U-Haul trailer and car at the Park City Mini Storage. The parties were moving into the area and had rented a locker.
