Forgery, fraud and theft among crimes this week

Laurel
The following represent a portion of the calls responded to by officers from the Laurel Police Department. Unless otherwise indicated, all cases are considered under investigation. Anyone with information about these or other crimes is encouraged to call the LPD at 628-8737.
On Jan. 23, at 1:21 p.m., fraud was reported and is being investigated. The complainant discovered unauthorized charges made over a 4-day period on a credit card. The charges exceeded $600.
On Jan. 24, at 5:39 p.m., McDonald’s reported a forgery after discovering a counterfeit $100 bill in a till. The Secret Service was notified.
On Jan. 25, at 3:02 p.m., a Laurel warrant was served on Sada Gonzales at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.
On Jan. 26, at 1:38 p.m., a burglary was reported on the 200 block of Woodland Ave. A person reportedly entered a building and stole items. David Roundy, 43, of Laurel was charged with criminal trespass to property, cited into court, fingerprinted, photographed and released. (This item was inaccurately reported previously. Jerry Stirm was listed as the perpetrator of the crime. He was actually the victim who helped police identify Roundy.)
On Jan. 27, at 12:29 p.m., a suspected case of fraud was reported. An unauthorized individual charged $358.97 on an account. Police have a suspect and the case in ongoing.
On Jan. 27, at 7:25 p.m., a burglary was reported on the 2600 block of Lackawanna. A Playstation and an Xbox were reported stolen. An investigation is ongoing.
On Jan. 30, at 1:44 a.m., a theft was reported. Reportedly a purse was taken from a vehicle parked at the Beartooth Grill. An investigation is ongoing.

Stillwater County
On Jan. 23, at 4:35 p.m., a complainant at Sportsman’s Park saw a male and female smoking marijuana out of a bong. The complainant later walked by area of the subjects and found a pipe and dead rabbits and contacted police. The subjects sped away in a teal colored vehicle. Officers eventually pulled over vehicle on private property. Male subject was not sober and was transferred to Yellowstone Detention Facility.
On Jan. 24, at 7:31 a.m., a tan or gold Chevy Suburban slid into the median on I-90 at mile marker 420. No injuries were reported.
On Jan. 24, at 7:49 a.m., on I-90 mm 425 a white Jeep hit the guard rail at an accelerated speed and the vehicle was disabled on the bridge deck. Reports said the vehicle appeared to have been hit by a semi.
On Jan. 24, at 8:21 p.m., on 1st Ave. SW Ave. a resident reported that her 10-year-old son was assaulting his 18-year-old sister and seven-year-old sister. The son was trying to pull out the 18-year-old sister’s newly pierced nipple rings. Park City fire and ambulance arrived and transported subject to Billings Clinic for mental evaluation.
On Jan. 25, at 4:06 p.m., a red Chevy Suburban was pulled over by an officer on the Pope Road Underpass going eastbound on I-90. The license plates of the vehicle were obscured and the driver was issued citations for operating a vehicle with expired registration and no proof of insurance, as well as an outdated address on license.
On Jan. 26, at 11:22 p.m., a officer pulled over a silver 2016 Ford Edge at the Park City Cenex. The driver was cited for driving while suspended and her license was confiscated.
On Jan. 27, at 11:37 a.m., on 1st St. SW South Clark St. an officer marked a green 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix with a five-day warning for the vehicle being abandoned.
On Jan. 28, at 1:19 a.m., a resident called officers to report that his 15-year-old son was drinking alcohol and having a party on 1st St. Southeast. The mother was gone for the night and responding officers arrived at the scene and called all the minors parents to pick up their children. Every minor was released to their parents.
