P.E.O. Chapter B offers $500 Scholarship

P.E.O. Chapter B, Laurel, Montana, sponsors a $500 scholarship for a female Laurel student to attend Cottey College or an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning. It is available only to Laurel students or on personal recommendation by a Chapter B member.

One $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to a qualified candidate. An applicant choosing to attend Cottey College will be a preferred candidate and has the option to reapply for four years, with a potential four-year award of up to $2,000.

Cottey College, located in Nevada, Missouri is an independent, liberal arts and sciences four-year college for women. It was founded in 1884 and is owned and supported by the P.E.O. Sisterhood, a philanthropic women’s organization. It is the only nonsectarian college in the United States, owned and supported by women, for women.

To apply for the P.E.O. Chapter B Laurel scholarship, students may contact their guidance counselor at LHS or contact a member of the Laurel P.E.O. Chapter B. Applications are due by May 31, 2021.
