My six-year-old kindergarten granddaughter made an Easter picture for the mail person so she could put the flag up on our mailbox.

She asked grandma for an envelope and I jotted her name and age on the envelope and addressed it to “Mailperson.”

To my surprise, the next day our mail carrier placed a thank you note to Kinzie complete with sidewalk chalk, a small chocolate egg and 10 stamps in our box so she could write to friends and family.

Our mail carriers deserve a round of thank you’s for the job they do so faithfully and consistently for us.
