Patricia (Pat) Ann Kohl

Patricia (Pat) Ann Kohl

Patricia (Pat) Ann Kohl entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2017.
She was born July 11, 1953 to Anthony and Joyce “Darlene” Kohl in Billings, Mont.
Pat grew up on a farm south of Laurel and graduated from Laurel Senior High. In 1971, she married Thomas Moran, and they had 2 children.
Pat’s career consisted of being a waitress at several local cafés, a shop manager for Johnson’s Ford, a retail clerk in Kalispell for Pamida, and the head housekeeper for CandyBar Ranch, also in Kalispell. Pat worked as a hostler for BNSF Railroad in Laurel and as a BNSF machinist in Great Falls and Havre, but most recently was a retail stocker for Target in Billings. Pat left a legacy of working hard, having tons of energy and a great love for family and friends. She made a difference in the lives of many and will deeply be missed and fondly remembered by all.
“I was given the gift of life, and now it is time to give it back. I was a lucky woman and for this I am grateful. I first got sick January 2010; when the cancer returned in the spring of 2016 and was terminal, I decided to be joyful about having a full life, rather than sad to die. Amazingly, this outlook worked for me (most of the time). Peace and comfort came from God (and Pastor Gary Bobo) and helped me accept what I could not change.”
Recently as Pat was looking out her skylight, she saw the image of Jesus imbedded in a tree, sharing this with others, she said, “ I am ready now, because I know He is with me and all is well.”
Pat left behind instructions for her children, family and friends to celebrate her life, which is now
completed. Low adherence to these instructions will not be tolerated! (By order of the Sheriff.)
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her son Travis (Cindy) Moran of Laurel, and daughter Traci (Caleb) Stolte of Whitefish. Grandma Pat’s pride and joy were her five grandchildren: Kanyin, Kyson Moran, Luna, Azure, and Kiva Stolte. She is also survived by sisters, Deborah (Leon) Schmidt and Toni (Gordon) McKittrick of Laurel, many beloved nieces and nephews and a vast array of truly wonderful friends, especially Pastor Gary, Linda, Marge, Nita, Patti B. and Sue.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a future date per Pat’s request. A Celebration of Life per Pat, will take place April 28, 2017, in Laurel. The place is to be announced later.
Memorials may be sent to: Laurel Dodgers American Legion Baseball at P.O. Box 144 Laurel, MT 59044; Camp Make-a-Dream, 90 Church Rd. Goldcreek, MT 59733 or Pack the Place in Pink, 1425 Oklahoma Star Trail Billings, MT 59105.
