Panthers pillage Pirates on the road

Park City moved into a tie for fourth in the Southern C 8-man league after winning their third game in a row and are now in the conversation for the playoffs. The Panthers flogged the Broadview/Lavina Pirates 73-0 to move to the upper half of the 10-team league, in which four teams advance to the playoffs.
Park City gave no quarter in the wind and rain, with 11 different Panther players scoring on offense and defense combined.
The Panther defense not only held the Pirates at bay on the scoreboard they also scored five times on three safety’s and two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns. Defensive lineman Austin Dennis got two of the safety’s and Josh Seabrook added a third. Quarterback and defensive lineman Conor McNeil had one of the fumble recoveries and Tristen Johnstone had the other.
Carson Baker passed the 100-yard rushing mark on only three carries, scoring on 43, 40 and 28-yard TD runs
Garrett Zimdars had a 17-yard TD run, Troy Fiscarelli a 12-yard TD run and Tucker Johnstone, 4-yard TD run. Seth Popp added an 18-yard TD reception
The Panthers host the 1-3 Denton/Geyser/Stanford Bearcats tomorrow at 7 p.m.
