Panthers lose steam

Outlook staff writer

Winners of the last two games, the Park City Panthers couldn’t pull it together in a narrow 58-50 loss to Broadview-Lavina last week.
Rylan Gauthier led the way with 19 followed by Talon Johnstone with 12, but it wasn’t enough to overcome their opponent.
After a slow first quarter the Panthers never really had time to recover after getting outscored 18-11. Park City got close towards the end, but eventually lost steam.
The loss was especially troublesome for the boys, because it was a conference game and both teams have almost identical records, so a win would have put some distance between Park City and Broadview-Lavina.
They don’t have many more chances in the season to make up for the loss, but on the upside their next game is another conference game. On the downside it’s against a pretty good Reed-Point-Rapelje team.
They play their next game on Feb. 10, against Reed-Point-Rapelje, away, at 7:30 p.m.
