At the age of 90, God granted mom her wings so she could join dad. Mom was born in Iowa and moved to North Dakota in her early teenage years. In 1954, she met dad and they married later that year. They lived in Fargo until 1977 when they decided to move to Montana. Together mom and dad owned and operated Halvorson Lawn Ornaments for 37 years. When dad passed away, she moved to Laurel.

Mom spent thousands of hours crocheting. Her hands needed to be busy. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and she had an undying love for cats.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; a sister; and three infant children.

Survivors are daughters, Deb Everding, Montana; Roberta Mundell, Wyoming; and Lavonne (Michael) Elsbernd, North Dakota; son, Dwayne Briese, Minnesota; and sister Wilma McGariyle, Washington. Other survivors include seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held this summer.
