The 2017 Montana Mile sponsored by Cape Air marks the 26th running for men and the 18th for women. The races are one of the most anticipated events of the Big Sky State Games Opening Ceremonies and are scheduled to take place around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 14. The Montana Mile is an invited race featuring some of the state’s fastest high school, college, and post collegiate milers. Defending champions Tyler Mogan and Tiahna Vladic will both be back to defend their titles as well as the 2013 and 2015 Montana Mile Champion Christina Aragon.
The Women’s Montana Mile record is 4:53.9 set in 2011 by Lois Ricardi Keller.  Patrick Casey set the Men’s record in 2010 at 4:07.9.
