Mary Magdalene Lowell

Mary Magdalene Lowell

Mary Magdalene Lowell had just celebrated her 89th birthday when our Lord called her home on January 12, 2017.
She was born on January 2, 1928, in Ray, ND to Edward and Anna Zundel. She was the third child in a family of ten siblings.
Mary met and married the love of her life, Robert Mitchell Lowell, in Denver, Colo., on February 3, 1951. Together they raised four wonderful children, Penny (Wayne) Goodman of Fromberg, Thomas (Christene) Lowell of Park City, Danny (Sherry) Lowell and Garry Lowell all of Laurel.
Mom and Dad loved to watch their children and grandchildren participate in sports, enjoyed family outings and camping trips. They also enjoyed their gambling trips and after retiring, traveling every winter to Yuma, Ariz.. where they met many wonderful friends.
Mary was a very diligent worker. She was employed at the Laurel school district, painted and cleaned homes. She was an avid gardener, wonderful cook, enjoyed many types of crafts and collected antiques. She was also a caregiver to many children, each of whom had a special place in her heart.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, her parents, Edward and Anna and her siblings, Hilda, Flossie, Esther. Eddie and Bill.
She is survived by her siblings, Vivian Ingraham of Laurel, Lee Roy of Billings, Rueben and Harold Zundel of Laurel; her children, Penny, Tom, Dan and Garry; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and another one coming in March; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary's wit and charm will be missed by many family and friends.
We wish to express a special thank you to Pastor Doug and all the staff who cared for our loved one at Aspen Meadows and the Comfort Unit at Billings Clinic.
See you later, we love you, Mom.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m.., Saturday, January 21, at Aspen Meadows Retirement Home, 3155 Ave C. in Billings. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the charity or your choice. Burial will be held at a later date.
