Margie Gabel Herman

At the age of 90 years old, our Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Margie Gabel Herman passed away on June 11, 2019, surrounded by many loved ones. She is now back in the arms of her husband and in the presence of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Margie was born in Fairview, Montana on December 10, 1928 to parents Henry and Mabel Gabel. At the age of two, her family moved to the Huntley Project area where she grew up and attend-
ed school. After finishing high school, she met and
married Freddie Herman Jr. and moved to Laurel. To this union two children were born, Ron and Linda. Freddie preceded her in death on July 1, 1995.
Margie was greatly loved by many family and friends. She is survived by her son and daughterin-law, Ron and Cindy, her grandson, Michael (Jennifer) and great-grandson, David and new great-granddaughter expected in October, her granddaughter Emilee Johnson (Darrell) and greatgrandsons, Cameron and Benjamin and greatgranddaughters, Anna and Caitlin.
She is also survived by her special niece/Goddaughter; Diana O’Rear (David) and their family. Also nieces and nephews, Gary (Bonnie) Buerkle, Bev Harris, Gene (Dawn) Eckhardt and their families. And special neighbors and friends John and Marcheta Becker. She is also survived by many more nieces and nephews, all very loved by their Aunt Margie.
Margie came from a large family of 13 children. She is survived by her brothers, Henry Gabel Jr. (aka Buck), Gerald (Orlena) Gabel and Larry (Bev) Gabel. She is also survived by one sister, Annabelle Schreiner and sister-in-laws, Elnor Gabel, Mary Lou Gabel, Clarice Gabel and Mary Gabel.
Survivors also include: Linda Frickel, Darci (Nick) Gage and Morgan Colbrese and Dirk (Maureen) and Mia Frickel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mabel Gabel, her husband, Freddie Herman Jr. and her siblings; Esther (Reinhold) Buerkle, Harold Gabel, Alvin Gabel, Dorothy Shinazy, Roy Gabel, Violet (Bob) Eckhardt, Alvina Jansma and Conrad (aka Coney) Gabel, brother-in-law Reynold Schreiner and son-in-law Tom Frickel.
Services were held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Monday, June 17, 2019. Interment followed at the Laurel cemetery with a luncheon following back at the church.
