Jodi Mackay has recently joined the team as a part-time reporter for the Laurel Outlook. Mackay grew up in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School. She attended Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming, and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Sociology. For over 25 years, she has worked in Human Services providing supports to people with disabilities. She’s had the opportunity to live and work in several states including Kentucky, Maryland, Wyoming and Montana. Mackay has spent the last 14 years employed with a disability service provider agency in Billings and also opened her own business in Laurel last June, Molly & Friends. Molly & Friends is a small dog daycare, boarding facility and DIY dog wash on East Main Street. Mackay lives in Laurel with her daughter, fiancée, three dogs and one cat. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, reading and spending time with friends, family and dogs. She loves this community and is looking forward to becoming more involved through photographing and reporting on its happenings.
