Last week in Laurel, the varsity teams took to their home court for games against Columbus on Thursday and Lewistown on Friday. The Locomotive boys and girls both won against the Columbus Cougars. The varsity boys won with a score of 63-46, lead scorer being eleventh grader, Colter Bales, with 26 points that match. They did not have the same luck the next day, losing against the Fergus Golden Eagles 63-54, ending a three-game winning streak for the varsity boys who’s record now stands at 7-4.

The Lady Locos however, won their game against the Cougars, 51-47. Senior, Sammi Spitzer, had the high score of 14 points against Columbus. Versus the Golden Eagles, the girls won 47-31. This was their fifth consecutive win and they are 8-3 on the season.

The Locos play against Hardin on Jan. 31 at Laurel High School and on Saturday, Feb. 1, against Billings Skyview. The Lady Locos play at home and the boys travel to Skyview.
