Locomotives celebrate Spirit Week

On Monday, Sept. 15, students, faculty and staff were seen wearing wacky socks to kick off Spirit Week, the week prior to homecoming. There were plenty of colorful socks including ones decorated by My Little Pony or Sponge Bob characters. Others looked more like golf socks with garish plaid designs. Toe socks were also in vogue.

Tuesday was Redneck/Nerd Day at the school. Costumes included oversized glasses, pocket protectors and calculators. For those more comfortable being designated a redneck, scarves and red paint appeared to stain several necks.

Today is Toga Day for seniors and Decades Day for the other classes. There is also a pep assembly today at 1:40 p.m.

Thursday is Twin Day. Then in true homecoming spirit, students will be decked out in Purple and Gold on Friday to make a big splash at the parade, which is at 4 p.m.

The game against rival Livingston will begin at 7 p.m. The dance will follow from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets to the dance are $5 at the door.
