Local students earn degrees at University of Montana

The University of Montana had 2,459 students who were degree candidates for spring semester 2016. Students graduating with honors earned a 3.4 grade point average or higher over the course of their studies, while students earning a 3.7 GPA or higher graduated with high honors. Official awarding of a degree and any official graduation with honors or graduation with high honors designation is not made until degree candidates have completed their final term of enrollment and have met all specific requirements.
Laurel alumni Courtney Bruce, Kayla Gonzales and Sarah Schied all graduated with high honors. Bruce earned a BA in biology, Gonzales a BSBAD in marketing and CERPS marketing and Schied a BA in communicative sciences and disorders. Sean Underwood also graduated with honors with a PHARMD degree in pharmacy.
Other area students graduating from UM this spring included Veronica Erlenbush, who graduated with a DPT in physical therapy and Taylor Dantic of Silesia, who graduated with a BSBAD in management.
