LMS February, March eighth-grade students of the month announced

From the left the Students of the Month are Maren Pollock, Wylee Schnetter, Richie Cortese and Jocelyn Perkins.

Jocelyn Perkins
Jocelyn Perkins has some “pretty cool” parents, a brother, and a gorgeous golden retriever named Abby. She was chosen as one of the February Students of the Month due to her great creativity and what her teachers see as great improvement recently. The lion is Jocelyn’s spirit animal, as she likes to be in a group, but is ready to be an individual when she needs to be. Her most interesting trip has been to Boston, where she saw a recreation of the Mayflower.

Wylee Schnetter
Wylee Schnetter is our other February Student of the Month. He was chosen because he is a hard worker and is kind to others. Wylee’s parents are Ben and Jada, and they have two black labs. If he could have a superpower, it would be the ability to fly so that he could go places for free. He has great memories of visiting Pearl Harbor and rock jumping into the ocean while on a trip to Hawaii.

Maren Pollock
Our first Student of the Month for March is Maren Pollock. Maren has three siblings and two dogs named Jim and Jeff. If Maren was challenged to hide and seek in the school, she’s pretty sure no one would find her in the janitor’s closet. Maren has a real love for elephants. She is clear that the elephant is her spirit animal, because they are kind and caring and have a great ability to remember. She is very much a family person, just like elephants. Maren was chosen because of her work ethic and creativity.

Richie Cortese
Richie Cortese has three older brothers and three dogs. He was chosen for Student of the Month for March. Richie was chosen because he has great leadership potential and is a caring person. If Richie was playing hide and seek in LMS, he’d hide in Mrs. Polkowske’s room because she would protect him. Richie’s favorite place to be is the baseball field. He feels happiest while he’s there.
