LHS Soccer to host State semifinal game Saturday

The Lady Loco soccer team advanced to the State Class A semifinals after a play–in win on Wednesday over Livingston and a quarterfinal win over Columbia Falls on Saturday.

On Wednesday at home against Park, the Locos picked up an easy 4–0 win. State leading scorer Mya Maack had two goals in the match and Chloe Baumann and Madison Peaton each added one. Alyse Aby was credited with an assist.

Then on Saturday at home against Columbia Falls, Laurel won the quarterfinal match over Columbia Falls 3–1 to advance to the semifinal. Kaitlyn Dantic, Baumann and Cassie Sampson each had goals and Peaton and Maack added assists.

The Lady Locos host Bigfork on Saturday at 1 p.m., and if they win will travel to Whitefish or Billings Central for the State title match on Oct. 30
