LHS girls track wins Divisionals, boys take 2nd

The Lady Loco track team won the Eastern A Divisional meet last weekend in Glendive going away, accumulating 196 points over 2nd place Lewistown who had 97 and third place Billings Central with 70.

Alyse Aby won the 400m with a time of 1:00.95 and Grace Timm won the 800 and 1600m with times of 2:24.44 and 5:28.23. Her time in the 800m was her season best. Andria Mourich won the 3200m with a personal record of 11:50.36 and finished second in the 800 with 2:26.00, also a personal best. Carly Cook finished second in the 1600 with a personal record time of 5:29.21.

Laurel won the 4x400 by 10 seconds over Central with a time of 4:08.24 and included Morgan Maack, Timm, Cook and Aby.

The Locos took the top three spots in the javelin with Bailey Graves taking first with 117-06. Keeli Harris was second with 108-00 and Laney Leeds third with 105-03.

Gracey Willis won the triple jump with a personal record distance of 35-09.50.

The Loco boys took 2nd with 108.5 points behind Hardin’s 144 and ahead of Sidney who had 63.

Jakob Webinger won the 100m and 200m races with times of 11.01 and 22.33. He set a personal record in the 200m. Webinger also set a personal record in the long jump, an event he won with a jump of 21-05.00.

Daylen Flemmon took first in the 100m hurdle preliminaries then took second in the finals with a time of 16.62.

Laurel won the 4x100 relay with a time of 43.92 and included Eli Aby, Beau Dantic and Jakob Webinger. Aby, Chase Burrows, Webinger and Tanner Schwend took second in the 4x400 relay with 3:37.30, seven seconds behind Hardin.

Jace McNeil won the javelin event by six feet with a throw of 152-11 and Xane Kazmierczak was second with 146-08.

Laurel hosts the State A/B meet Friday and Saturday at the Laurel Sports Complex starting at 9 a.m. with the javelin and shot put.
