LHS Festival Choir concerts Tuesday

The Laurel High School Festival Concert is fast approaching. It will be Tuesday, March 21, at 7 p.m. in the  LHS auditorium. This concert is a bit different than in years past. There will be a MHSA certified adjudicator in the audience and he will be filling out the official MHSA adjudication forms and assigning a numerical score to each choirs performance.
On Wednesday, March 22, during class the adjudicator will be back and will be working with each class providing lessons on how they can improve. The students will also learn which concepts that they performed well. This is a required judging that all students in performing ensembles throughout the state participate in every spring.
The choirs will also be judged on sight-reading skills on March 22.
Activity cards are accepted, otherwise, entry fees are $6 for adults and $4 for students ages 6 and older.
