Once again Laurel has been awarded a Tree City USA award. The Laurel Tree Board would like to thank the community for making this year’s Arbor Day event a great success. Arbor Day is a community wide event to encourage the maintenance and benefit of trees to everyone. This was prominently displayed in this years artwork and theme; “Trees Help Everyone.”

There was great participation from local students from First Baptist Academy, School of Life, local homeschool association, and of course Laurel Public Schools. We had a wonderful group of sponsors: Walmart, River Ridge Landscape Co., Local 316 Public Works Employees, Montana DNRC, SOW Ministries, Cotter’s Sewer & Portable Toilet Services, Dynamic Designs, Laurel Garden Club, Laurel Elementary PTA, American Legion Post 123, The City of Laurel, Laurel Fire and EMS, Laurel Ford, Northwester Energy, Laurel Lions Club, Laurel Rotary, Kings Ace Hardware Stores, Pacific Recycling, Larned Tree Service, Albaugh Construction, Meadow Gold Dairy, Waste Connection, and B&R Tree Service.

Thank you once again! Have a wonderful summer season at South Pond.
