Laurel Middle School students of the month

Special to the Outlook

December
Keeli Harris: Keeli was chosen for student of the month because of her kindness and her work ethic. She has two older siblings that both reside in the Denver area. Keeli believes she could win a game of hide and seek at LMS by concealing herself in a cupboard in the science room. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially in Yellowstone National Park. Thank you, Keeli, for your sunny personality and your determination in your studies!
Connor Ulschak: Connor earns student of the month honors for his curious nature and his ability to lead class with great questions and excellent participation. Connor is an animal aficionado, as he has a dog, fish, crawdads, turkeys and a chicken. He enjoys big cities like Denver, and would choose invisibility as a superpower. The eighth-grade staff appreciates having Connor at LMS. He is a great student!

January
JD Ketterling: One of our January picks was JD. He was selected because he is consistently hard working and he is a joy to have in class. He is very involved, and the teachers appreciate that! JD’s spirit animal is the bald eagle, as he feels nothing could stop him in the air. One of his favorite trips thus far was to Seattle to the aquarium, where he loved all the fish and of course the sea otters! JD is a kind young man and we know he has a great future ahead of him!
Elaine May: Elaine was our other January selection. Lainey is a hard working young lady and we appreciate her attention to detail and motivation on projects. If she were to engage in hide and seek at LMS, she’d hide in the teacher’s lounge, as there is potential for snacks there. Lainey loves dogs and one of her favorite trips was to Alaska, where she was able to go on a sled dog trip. You are doing awesome, Lainey! We’re glad you are here at LMS!
