Laurel girls beat Hardin

Laurel surged past Hardin 60-45 Thursday in Eastern A girls basketball. Earning 29-points in the second quarter made all the difference for the Locomotives.
Ending a five game losing streak the girls had an outstanding performance  and are now 2-5, 1-0 in conference play.  The girls managed six 3-pointers during the second quarter. Three came from standout Kaitlyn Dawes and two were by Sammi Spitzter. Cotter finished with a game-high 17 points, while Spitzer had 16. Dawes scored 11 of her 13 points in the second quarter.
