the Billings Blue Jays, 7-0
A four-run explosion in the fifth inning hoisted the Dodgers to a 7-0 win in seven innings over the Billings Blue Jays at Laurel on Friday, June 17. The Dodgers scored in the fifth on a hit by pitch, a groundout by Braden McIlvain, and a two-run single by Josh Anderson.
It was a good day at the plate for the Dodgers’ Carson Hoke. Hoke went 1-2 and scored three runs. He singled in the fifth inning.
The Dodgers’ Mason O’Donnell kept the Billings Blue Jays off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the rubber. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up six.
Davis couldn’t get it done on the hill for the Billings Blue Jays, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.
The Dodgers never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on a groundout by Dawson Cortese and an RBI single by McIlvain.

The Dodgers beat the Billings Cardinals 5-2 in seven innings on Tuesday, June 21 in Billings.
Dawson Cortese kept contact to a minimum, striking out six of the Billings Cardinals batters. Cortese allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over seven innings.
Quast was charged with the loss. He lasted just 5 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
The Dodgers never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on a two-run single by Cortese.
After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the second, the Billings Cardinals faced just a 3-2 deficit. A wild pitch and triggered the Billings Cardinals’ comeback. But, Cortese got Golden to to end the inning.
The Dodgers matched their one-run fourth inning with one more in the sixth. In the fourth, the Dodgers scored on an RBI single by Trevor Meier, bringing home Carson Hoke.

In the second game on Tuesday, the Dodgers beat the Billings Cardinals 10-4 in seven innings.
Kanyin Moran racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Dodgers. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning. Carson Hoke recorded the win for the Dodgers. He allowed four runs over six innings. Hoke struck out six, walked one and gave up seven hits.
Leuthold ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 4 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
The Dodgers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on an RBI triple by Dawson Cortese.
The Dodgers got three-run rallies in the second inning and the fifth. In the second, the Dodgers scored on a two-run triple byHoke, plating Deklan Harper and Moran.
